Dare To Share's Annaual Walk-A-Thon

Long time Dare To Share supporter Carmen Braicu of Atlanta, Georgia again took it upon herself to organize another Walk-A-Thon at Chateau Elan in Braselton, the original home of our organization. Her efforts were rewarded with the financial support of a large number of her friends and business connections. Together they raised $1,500. That's what is called 'A good day's work'! Carmen was very pleased with the results and happy that it will all go to the kids. "It's wonderful to do something for an organization that actually contributes all the donated money to their cause."

Dare To Wear Red Event a great success

The inaugural event for Dare To Share in Paso Robles on Saturday, December 11, 2010 was a great success. “The generosity of the people in this area is truly gratifying” said Francine Boudewijn, Chair of Dare To Share. “We were hoping to raise $10,000. Instead we collected $15,000 for the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center and the Smile Train, which will be split equally between them. We understand that the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center will use the money to hire 2 teachers and fund their summer program. The Smile Train will be able to give 30 kids a new lease on life. I want to thank all volunteers, donors and participants for their help and support to our cause.”

Local hotels, restaurants, stores, wineries and individuals made donations for the benefit of the two charities. The guests who attended the event, as well as the countless others who bought raffle tickets and bid on all the auction items, made it all possible. Nothing was left behind. The gifts under the Christmas Tree were won by a long time supporter from Georgia who promised to come to California soon to “support the state’s economy.”

Ivan Sergei to participate in his second Rally For Kids with Cancer on October 22 & 23 in Los Angeles.

This event will benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles and promises to be lots of fun for all of us who are involved while raising again a tremendous amount of money for the kids who really need it. I again will be giving it my best on behalf of Dare To Share. I encourage every one to visit the Rally For Kids to learn more about this great effort.

Ivan Sergei in the Chicago Rally For Kids with Cancer.

Team "For The Kids" drafted Ivan as their celebrity "navigator" for the Cancer Scavenger Cup Rally to benefit the Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago. Their hard work (and fun) saw them finish the Rally in first place.

After the event Ivan said: "I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in fundraising efforts for the many different charities that many individuals have started. That is after all what Dare to Share is about. Helping children in need from all walks of life. The Chicago Rally for Kids with Cancer was an enormous success and I look forward to being involved however, and whenever I can".
