Dare To Share's 5th Signature Gala
at Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA

The annual Dare To Share Gala at Chateau Elan was again a big success. The organization's 5th Gala saw the crowd excited about the celebrities that came out (Ivan Sergei - Film & TV actor, Amanda Kozak - Miss Georgia 2006, Rhubarb Jones - Radio Eagle 106.7 FM, DeAngelo Hall of the Atlanta Falcons), not only to support the fundraiser, some of them performed to the delight of the people present.

Monica Kaufman Pearson, the celebrated Atlanta WSB TV2 news anchor, sang to the delight of all. Local talent, Courtney (violin) and Tiffany (song) Piedrahita were also enthusiastically received. Boutiques from Athens and Gainesville provided the clothes for the amateur models whose friends and families came out to cheer them on. All this happened under the professional and delightful guidance of Bob Rathbun, the Emmy winning sports announcer from Fox Sports Net South Television.

The live and silent auctions met every one's expectations. The items up for bid were often one of a kind and definitely unique. The success of the evening and the kindness and commitment by all to helping kids was demonstrated in the results: the net proceeds exceeded $100,000! Francine Boudewijn, chair of Dare To Share commented, " every time we do this and ask the communities to step up, they do and show how much they care for the kids. I am still trying to figure out how we can thank them enough for their generosity."

JEZEBEL Magazine of Atlanta provided pre-event publicity and additional fundraising while Mike Roe Video Productions recorded the event. For copies of the video contact Dare To Share, Inc.
